Brunel University London is accepting expressions of interest from organisations across West London to participate in their Summer Internship Scheme. The Brunel Summer Internship Programme offers eligible students the opportunity to gain eight weeks (280 Hours) relevant work experience over their first summer break. This is open to all eligible home/UK first year undergraduates, from any course.

The Brunel Summer Internship Programme as an opportunity to take on a Brunel student from an under-represented background from June to September and help develop their professional skills and experiences as they begin their career journeys. Organisations are currently sought to host placement students and can represent any service or sector as long as the role offered can provide a meaningful experience for a student. Placements can be in-person, remote or hybrid according to an employer’s needs.

Examples of students from under-represented backgrounds include:

  • Care Leavers
  • Refugees
  • Low household income (Under £25k)
  • Black / Black (other) ethnicity
  • Registered with DDS and have either a disability, dyslexia, long-term health or mental condition
  • Live in an area ranked quintile 1 in the government’s index of Multiple Deprivation

The Brunel Summer Internship Programme is an employability focused project that offers a number of paid internships for 8 weeks during the summer of 2023 for eligible first year undergraduate students (please note that this does not include students in their foundation year). The programme is fully funded by Brunel University London.

Please note that all internships must be completed in the UK. Internships abroad are not supported by this programme.
