Ealing Mencap is celebrating 60 years of supporting people with learning disabilities and their families with a Charity Gala Ball at Trailfinders Rugby Club in Ealing on Friday 9 October 2026.

The 60th anniversary event will turn back the clock to 1965, the year Ealing Mencap was founded, with a night of Motown, rock ‘n’ roll and Beatles-inspired music and dancing. Black tie is encouraged, with 1960s glamour also welcomed on the night.

Running from 6-10.30pm, the evening includes a welcome drinks reception, a three-course dinner, and a live auction and raffle. Tickets are available now

Since 1965, Ealing Mencap has supported people with learning disabilities and additional needs across the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow, operating independently within the wider Mencap family. The charity says it supports more than ten thousand people each year through day services, advice, independent travel training and employment programmes.

All proceeds from the ball will go towards Ealing Mencap’s work with children and adults with learning disabilities. Businesses wishing to sponsor the event, or to donate an auction or raffle prize, can e-mail Izzy Emberson at izzy.emberson@ealingmencap.org.uk.
