Returning this May for a packed programme of online and on campus activities, the Brunel Research Festival is a month-long celebration of the diverse local and global benefits of the university’s world-class research.

Taking place from 9-31 May, the Brunel Research Festival is open and free to all, offering a wide array of activities exploring cutting-edge and applied research. Join Brunel for interactive workshops, public lectures, open days, panel discussions, lab tours, research demonstrations, masterclasses, community conversations and much more. Whether an academic, student, community stakeholder, industry partner, or member of the public, there’ll be something for you at the Brunel Research Festival.

Highlights of the festival programme…

A New Monarch in the 21st Century: Questions of Identity and Approval– Weds 10 May, 5.30pm

To coincide with the coronation of King Charles III, this roundtable considers two important aspects related to the monarchy – public approval and the role of the monarchy in questions of identity.

Ageing Research Showcase & Health MOT – Tues 16 May, 10am

A public open day spotlighting Brunel’s ageing-related research excellence and offering the opportunity to test your balance, coordination, grip strength and much more…!

AI and Digital Construction Showcase – Weds 17 May, 3pm

A a special session on Digital Construction to showcase the latest digital smart innovations from industry as well as from academia, demonstrating novel AI solutions to important but routine as well as complex and large-scale problems and pathways toward digitisation in the sector.

Brunel Hydrogen (Water to Water: An Industry Showcase) – Monday 22 May, 11am
