In our surrounding geography SEGRO Park Enfield, OMA-X Film, Sky Elstree, Pinewood Studios and Twickenham Studios have also seen significant investment in recent years.

The West London Film & TV Skills Hub is one of the Mayor of London Creative Academy programme, bringing together businesses, colleges, universities, local authorities and to help West Londoners into training and careers in film and TV. To date, 775 Londoners have entered employment, apprenticeships or paid work placements in Academy sectors as a result of Hub activity.

Launched in 2024 at BoxPark Wembley, the festival provides a full day of taster sessions, information, professional advice and creative guidance to everyone trying to navigate the world of film & TV.
In May 2024, West Londoners gathered at Ealing Picturehouse for the world premiere of the West London Film Competition entries. It was the first round of the West London Film & TV Competition.
Hosted by the Hub and facilitated by The JGA Group, the competition matches teams of students with professional mentors to develop technical skills, teamwork and professionalism. The competing films are conceptualised, scripted, shot, edited and delivered by teams of aspiring filmmakers, accompanied by professionals.
New research audit has mapped the training and skills provision for West London’s film and screen industry. West London institutions, including 7 universities, 7 colleges and 8 training and education providers (LAMDA, Global Academy, MAMA Youth Met Film), offered over 116 screen industry-related programmes in 2020-21, including Film and TV, Production, Animation, Games and VFX. The audit report was carried out by West London Business, Creative Enterprise West, Middlesex University and The JGA Group/West London TV & Film Skills Hub, with support from the Mayor of London’s office.
A new report looking into the economic impact of a film studio in West London sets out to re-balance the discussion of the economic benefits of film and TV production to its impact on the long supply chain across the sub-region. The report, by Saffery LLP and Nordicity, which was commissioned by Hounslow Borough Council on behalf of Creative Enterprise Zone West and Screen Capital West, with support from the Mayor of London’s office.
Digital Creative Network West (DCNW) is a network run by Upstream Nexus, Golden Mile London CEZ and West London Business. Launched in April 2021, it aims to foster and strengthen relationships between large anchor organisations, startups and academia in West London. The network promotes collaboration and accelerated innovation between the creative and technology sectors and supports our creative tech ecosystem to better compete with other clusters.
Reel Park Royal is a community of like-minded businesses based in Park Royal, as one of the most important business clusters in the UK for the TV/Film sector. Park Royal is home to film studios, virtual production, lighting and camera providers, props companies, special effect houses, make up artists and more.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced the expansion of his Creative Enterprise Zones programme including new West London CEZs in Ealing / Park Royal, and Hammersmith & Fulham and Brent.
