Spark!, a supporter of West London Business’ work across the sub-region’s education space for many years, is on the hunt for a new office location. The West London education charity is currently hosted by GlaxoSmithKline at their global headquarters in Brentford but, with GSK’s impending move to a new site in Central London, staff will need to find a new place to call home and continue their work supporting young people on their career journey.
With its roots stretching back over 40+ years, Spark! was born out of Hounslow Education Business Partnership – bridging the gap between business and schools to provide high quality work experience placements, as well as engaging with young people all across West London to kickstart their careers. Today, the mission of Spark! is to ensure all young people, particularly those who will most benefit, have access to meaningful employer engagement, work readiness skills development, and employment opportunities, enabling them to transition into sustained work and rewarding careers.
The charity is looking for a West London business that would like to put any unused office space to good use. Spark! is operated by a small staff team which incorporates hybrid working. The requirements from any organisation looking to help in the first instance are:
- 12 Desks (or a large conference room) one day per fortnight
- 3-5 hot desk spaces on other days
- Access to meeting rooms
If your organisation is in a position to support the charity and help deliver on their work with the next generation of West London worker, please reach out directly to Rachel McAdam, Head of Partnerships – rachelmcadam@sparkcharity.org.uk
