The London Borough of Brent is publishing the Local Plan

The London Borough of Brent is publishing the Local Plan (Regulation 19): Proposed Submission Document. The Local Plan sets out the policies to guide decisions on developments for the next 20 years, including on affordable housing, employment and town centres, open space, community facilities, transport and sports and leisure facilities. All planning decisions will be made against the policies in the Plan. This final round of consultation, gives the opportunity to comment on the draft planning policies that have been worked up following two rounds of public consultation held last year.

they are inviting representations on the ‘soundness’ of the document and whether the proposals are in accordance with legal requirements. The tests of soundness are set out in paragraph 35 of the National Planning Policy Framework. Guidance is also available on the consultation comment form. The publication period for comments will last for 6 weeks from  24 October 2019, it will end on 5pm at 5 December 2019.
