On Friday 24 February 2023, guests from across all industries descended upon Twickenham Stadium to celebrate business excellence at The West London Business Awards 2023. Britain’s best-loved impressionist Rory Bremner brought his trademark repertoire to our tenth anniversary celebrations. West London was once again profiled to a global audience with businesses of all sizes taking the spotlight – including, for the first time ever, the West London Company of the Decade award determined by a vote of West London Business members.
A special night of celebration crowned some special winners as Lamington Group claimed the title of West London Company of the Year 2023 as well as Green ‘Race to Zero’ Business of the Year. Lamington Group’s room2 Hometel chain also scooped Hospitality Business of the Year for their Chiswick site. In the category of West London Company of the Decade, contested by all previous recipients of the Company of the Year title, Wrapology took away the final prize of the night, capping a year where the sustainable packaging organisation also claimed a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2022.
Individual achievements were once again the spotlight of the West London Business Awards. Peter Johnson of Vivalda was honoured for a 40+ year career in the construction industry with the Lifetime Achievement in Business Award. With environmental sustainability in focus within the film industry, Frank Khalid of West London Film Studios was crowned West London Business Leader of the Year. Outgoing Heathrow CEO John Holland-Kaye’s contribution to the region was recognised with a Special Award for Services to West London; similarly Sally Smith of West London Chambers of Commerce was given a Special Award for Services to Economic Development reflecting a transformative contribution to the local economy, particularly in London Borough of Hounslow, over the past 22 years.
Park Royal businesses were also represented with last year’s West London Company of the Year, Alexanders Group, walking away from awards night as Park Royal Business of the Year.

The entrepreneurs and businesses that won at the ceremony really earned their recognition, as there was stiff competition in all awards categories. The last few years have been incredibly challenging for all London businesses, but our winners show that West London is still one of the best places in the UK to launch a business, grow a company or start a career.”
